BOK CENTER NOMINATED FOR ARENA OF THE YEAR BY ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC FOR 9TH TIME IN VENUE HISTORY
February 10, 2022 – The ASM-managed BOK Center was nominated for the ninth time in venue history by the Academy of Country Music (ACM) for Arena of the Year.
BOK Center joins a notable group of nominees for Arena of the Year including Bridgestone Arena (Nashville, TN), Dickies Arena (Fort Worth, TX), Ford Center (Evansville, IN) and Rupp Arena (Lexington, KY).
This award is presented to an outstanding indoor arena, selected by a Professional Panel of judges. The arena must have bought or promoted at least five country concerts/dates during the prior calendar year of January 1 to December 31, 2021, be in good standing with all agents and help promote country ticket sales. In 2021, BOK Center hosted six country concerts including Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Dan + Shay, Cody Johnson and Alabama.
“We are honored to once again be nominated by the Academy of Country Music for Arena of the Year,” said BOK Center VP & General Manager Bryan Crowe. “We have worked hard to bring a compelling line-up of shows to Tulsa and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the artists and promoters who continue to think of BOK Center as a must-play venue.” Arena of the year is an off-camera Industry Award and will be announced following the 57th ACM Awards at a special event held annually in August at the historic Ryan Auditorium in Nashville, TN. The Industry Awards honor the behind-the-scenes industry professionals and venues who contribute so much to the artistry, success and longevity of country music. The award is considered a part of the 57th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards and is voted on by the professional membership of the academy.
